National Rural and Remote Support Service

We love launching websites, and here’s another new one: National Rural and Remote Support Service (NRRSS), managed by Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH).

Their new website re-uses the SARRAH website theme, keeping branding consistent. It also connects to CiviCRM, so they can easily manage NRRSS Members and their Mentoring Program.

One of the many features in the new NRRSS website are Pinterest-style member forums. Members can log in to the forums to post, comment, or “like” other posts. The forum uses the photo on their user profile, and the tag system makes it easier to filter by location or topics of interest.

The NRRSS website also displays data stored in CiviCRM on members’ user profile pages, including a Google Map of their address, and allows them to change it. Making it easy for members to keep their own information up-to-date reduces the administrative workload for NRRSS staff.
