10th October was World Mental Health Day and Agileware are proud to have played a small role in getting the message out there about mental health issues here in Australia.

Agileware was contracted by the Mental Health Council of Australia (MHCA) to develop a website with the following key features:

  • Photo competition form, enabling visitors to submit their photos for the Mental Health Day photo competition
  • Event map and event registration form, an interactive map which pin pointed Mental Health Day events occurring throughout Australia. This was supported by an event registration form which visitors could use to submit events to MHCA.
  • On-line shop, for selling Mental Health Day merchandise and reports regarding mental health issues.

Working collaboratively with MHCA staff, Agileware and MHCA developed and launched the website, http://1010.org.au in the lead up to Mental Health Day. The website received a tremendous amount of traffic, the photo competition received a large number of submissions and the event map was quickly populated.

Highlights for World Mental Health Day include:

Julia Gillard (Australia, Prime Minister), Kevin Rudd (Labor MP) and Tanya Plibersek (Health Minister) all posted Tweets on their Twitter accounts which was much appreciated.
