CentOS 8, the operating system used by hosting servers will reach end of life (end of support) on December 31st, 2021. This was announced in December 2020, see the official announcement for more details, https://blog.centos.org/2020/12/future-is-centos-stream/
CentOS has been an excellent, stable and secure operating system that Agileware have been using for over two decades. Whilst we are disappointed with this change of direction, we are happy to continue using a Red Hat based operating system in AlmaLinux.
All Agileware managed servers are being moved to AlmaLinux, as this is an in-place upgrade. The only impact is a single reboot. Functionality and hosted services remain unaffected by this change.
